Cool Christmas Give Away - The Shack

My favorite verse is Prov 3:5-6. They have been life verses for me for a long time.

It's my favorite verse for life and especially for marriage because if we simply do as it states...you can't help but love each other. It's amazing how simple God makes it for us to get along. Why do we sometimes make it difficult. I just ministered to myself...thank you for the opportunity to remind myself. I really needed that today.

It's been my verse since I was a teenager, but now that I have 3 kids ages 4, 2 and 2 and then one on the way in 2 months, it's even more pertinent to me now!

One of my very favorite verses is Job 42:2..."I know You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You."

It is just such a comfort to me to know that His purposes will prevail, no matter what the enemy does and no matter how much I mess up!

My favourite verse comes from Isaiah, "You are precious and honoured in My sight...I love you."

I have so many favs!! I like John 4:23. because I lead a dance ministry and it is our verse we stick by as we strive to worship our fruth in spirit and truth

I've heard a lot about this book! I'm looking forward to reading it myself.

My favorite verse is 2 Cor 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"

That verse has been one I have repeated over and over through the years as I have gone through and grown through different struggles. It's a great reminder that we need to be active and make a conscious effort to get rid of our thoughts that are against the Truth.

I have had several people tell me to read this!

My favorite scripture is Philippians 4:8:

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Not only did this verse help me through some really rocky months of post partum depression, focusing on only allowing these things into my life, but now they help me to question what I am putting out into the world. Is it noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy?

Hope you are as blessed by this verse as I have been.

Ephesians 4:1 - "...Live a life worthy of the calling you have received."

This is my favorite verse because when you get down to it, being holy is simply making a series of right choices through the power of the Holy Spirit He put in us. No matter how close or far away I feel from God, that verse cuts through all my lame excuses for not thinking, speaking, or behaving in ways that honor Him or others. It lifts my perspective off of myself and this small temporal world I see with my eyes and back to where it should be. I'm instantly reminded of our amazing God who built us and equipped us for a mighty work, who calls us to a higher standard because it's better for us, who loves us even when we self-righteously replace His standards with our own, who graciously refuses to lose hope in us and still asks expectantly, "will you choose today to live the way I intended you to live?"

My favorite verses is Ephesian 4:4-6:

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you[a] all.

I was going through a tough time not knowing what to believe and I turned to this passage. It was just there staring at me and I found my answer.

My favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness."

Psalm 37:4-5~ Delight yourself also in the Lord; and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.

This is my verse...when I was going through a rough season about being single and being torn between wanting to date someone but not being sure that was what God wanted for me, He just laid this verse on my heart. It was His reassurance to me that the desire to be a wife and mother that He laid on my heart would be fulfilled, even if it took longer than I wanted.

Since then, I have continued to go back to my verse, knowing that if God is first in my life, as He should be, then all my needs will be taken care of and my greatest desire, to be unconditionally loved, will be fulfilled. I have also learned to trust Him, knowning that the hard times in my life will eventually subside because He is at my side.

I would love to read this book...I've been wanting to read it for a long time! My favorite verse is 1st Tim. 6:6. It is such a great reminder to me to be content with my life and to approach it with a Godly attitude.

My favorite scripture is actually found a few places:

"I will never leave you nor forsake you."

This scripture has been my life as I have gone through personal situations where I feel the bottom is falling out from underneath me and nothing seems to go right, but GOD is ALWAYS there and will ALWAYS be there! Don't we serve a GREAT GOD!!!

I love the verse John 17:3 "Now this is eternal life that they know you the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

To me it points out that eternal life starts now -- the moment we begin a relationship with God.

I love Psalm 13. After David whines about "how long will you forget me?" But ends with "but I will trust in your unfailing love."

It reminds me that it's okay to whine and cry, but in the end I know God is in control.
