What have learned from another woman this week? (or ever)
Write your own "Titus 2 Post" (linking back here somewhere within the body of your post) and enter your link below!
I am reflecting on the past today. There are many stunning examples of virtuous women in the history of the United States of America. Yesterday, many paid tribute to men and women of valor who have fought for our countries freedom. I am thrilled that so many take time out to consider the fight and cost that it has, and continues to, require to allow us to live in a free country. More specifically, in a country where we are able to worship God openly - may none of us take that for granted and all who believe actively exercise this right and freedom...
Today, my mind and heart are drawn to those women who supported their men. Who planted victory gardens, wrote (actual) letters faithfully, and intentionally encouraged their spouses to press on; all the while taking care of matters at home and providing for their children. So many of us could stand to pause here for a moment and consider the amount of time and energy that these women poured into making sure their husbands knew that they were supported, loved, prayed for and making an eternal difference in the world. I am, in no way, saying that they were all perfect or never failed to do so; just that the efforts of their day were noteworthy.
Does my own husband know? Have I gone out of my way to show him that he is supported, loved, prayed for and making an eternal difference in the world?
Because he is.
Today I am just feeling a bit convicted that I need to place a little more energy into conveying those things to him in ways that he can receive and understand. The stunning reflections of those who have gone before me are impressed upon my mind.
I guess maybe this has turned into a bit of a "Marital Moment" as well as a "Titus 2." It's just what God is impressing upon my heart today. What has He brought to mind to you today?
What have you learned from another wise woman? ALL of us can learn something from one another. Join in and then go read these posts!

Such a powerful Truth, Shanda! And, when I read Scripture, I am always amazed at the influence of women (for better ... or for worse!). May we never forget the power of our prayers and the effects of our encouragement upon our husbands (and our children).
Beautiful! I love this post, those from the past do indeed need to be remembered.
i love it when the Holy spirit shows me something that He is changing in me. I It makes me want to praise God all the more that because I am His righteousness, He will not leave me as I am.
God has changed me in more ways than I am sure I even know concerning my husband and my holding him in high esteem. and, I am certain He will continue to do so.
Thanks for reminding us Shanda, not to take them for granted, and to let them know how sensational they really are!
Love Ya!
Hi girl, I finally got my Titus 2 post up and solely written for this day. Yea.
I must confess that I didn't spend time reading your post but judging form the comments here I need to go back and do so.
But first I have to run to the city, so later this evening.
Thank you for linking us up this way. You are a Titus 2 woman.

This is just perfect. I need to be reminded to encourage my husband and remind him of my support in him. I participated today, too, so check it out if you'd like! http://happyascanb.blogspot.com/2009/05/titus-2-tuesday-jennifer.html
God has just spoken thru 3 bloggers to me on this subject. Here am I God, send me. And thank You for my husband.
Hi Shanda. I'm not on the Mr. Linky, but I'm following Daveda's site and her blog-sharing this week, so popped in.
Somewhat in line with your great post today, I can say I have been blessed and privileged to have had a mom, grandmothers, great grandmothers and various aunts who were great people and Christian models, and who positively impacted my life. Good post here!
Great reminder....so often we assume those closest to us "just know" how much we love them and appreciate the things they do - how much better to purposefully let them know!
I should have left my other comment on this post. Oh well. I am learning that praying for my husband with a clean heart will work wonders for our marriage. I gain something spiritually every time I read your blog. Thanks!
I got my post in on Mr. Linky but he is not performing well, so I thought I would throw the link in here as well.
Hope all are having a blessed week!
*~*~HUGS SHANDA~*~* Thanks for hosting every week. :)

Yes, what a great example those women set for us. I'm realizing that it doesn't have to be big - just a little word or note to show my husband what he means to me and our family - sometimes it seems to make a huge difference in his day.
Wonderful post, and convicting. Thank you so much for sharing! =)
