I have a confession to make. I have been harboring evil thoughts about you. So, in the spirit of making things right and letting go of my frustrations, I write. I really did try to see who you were. Ask.com, Google.com, none of the .coms seem to know exactly who the mastermind behind the low rise actually is. If I were a betting person, I think I'd bet that you were male...or maybe a female with a cool tatoo that you wanted to be able to expose without looking too obvious; but I digress.
While I understand that you must be thrilled with your successes (and financial gains); many (MANY!) of us struggle with covering our backsides appropriately. It seems that your design is quite popular and it is getting more and more difficult to find a pair of jeans with a more standard "rise."
You see, I have a two year old. A very active little guy that I bend over often to pick up (occasionally it looks a bit more like a wrestling match) and when I am trying to take care of a bruised knee or get on his level to correct him (as it really needs to be done), I have difficulty bending or squatting without flashing the world. In my younger years I probably would not have minded quite so much, but I am a mother of three now still working on getting a few extra pounds off. I understand that you may not have children so this may just be an oversight in the design process. Surely your "target consumer" was a tad younger and possibly a bit more in shape.
To add a bit of insult to injury, the last time I went to try on jeans and asked for a slightly higher "rise," the sales girl (a mere child who is less than 1/2 of my age), smiled and put her hand on my arm and said, "Sweetheart, you just need to go on down a few stores to V.S. and pick up some low rise or thong underwear. They are very comfortable!"
I'm also having some difficulty finding shirts that are long enough to compensate for the space difference between shirt and jeans. I know I am on the tall side, but now I'm also having to buy additional "undershirts" to wear under my normal shirts. (Thus, ultimately cutting into your profits...)
So I implore you to go back to the drawing board and try sketching a line of jeans with even a half of an inch or so more of a "rise." I do *heart* the "whiskered" look and also the flared bottoms that add height and slenderize the look of the thighs (well done there!!). Thank you for your time and considerations.
Very Sincerely,
Shanda

hahahaha, too funny! good luck on your jean hunt:)
This cracked me up. I do not have children yet but struggle with the gap between my jeans and shirt often. It is truely hard to find long shirts and jeans that fit and are not 80's high waisted that do not show plumber crack when you squat down. I too wear underhirts to cover the gap and also for the top. Something that is working great for me are the mens "wife beaters" 3pack cheap and they are long and thin. I wear them about everyday now. Thanks for the laugh!
Too funny!! And I agree 100%! Those low-rise jeans are only modest if you stand still. Thank goodness I'm finally finding some longer t-shirts! I've heard of some that are supposed to be a better rise and with no gap to "flash" anyone (Lee maybe?). I had planned to check these out soon! :)
I luv open letters, and I totally agree with you. Especially as a teacher of students who like to wear jeans 2 sizes too small. (ew.)
PS-
Dear "Jean"-iuses,
While you're fulfilling Shanda's request, please add a couple of "rise" inches to the "Teen Jeans" in Juniors Department, where my 12-year-old daughter shops. She will not be visiting V.S. to buy her underwear.
I Dream of (Regular Rise) "Jean"ie,
Kathryn
Oh, dear friend I totally am on the same page as you! I have started buying my T-shirts in the Tall size--this works great for Short sleeve but not so well with long sleeve because then the arms are really to long. I just found some nice cheap t-shirts at target that were actually long enough to cover that gap. I have only two pair of jeans that fit me and they are about done with and I've been shopping around trying to find something and have been having NO LUCK! It's crazy! Thanks for the light hearted post!
Marie
This is just one more reason why I *heart* you!
HYSTERICAL!
Oh tell it!
I would add my 2 cents for tight-fitting, shrink-wrapped shirts. No thank you! Especially on my poor 10ager, who is trying to wrap herself around this new idea of curves.
Our bodies are under such fire from every angle. Good luck finding those jeans. :). Keep us posted.
That was really funny. I fear though that low rise is here to stay. My teenager makes fun of all my old pictures before the low rise jeans came into existence.
Funny post but I understand, seems like places are catering to the younger group lately, and in my case, I don't have the bod to carry off those styles like I did as a teen. Good luck with your hunt.
As for the broken dinner plate, no, after a laugh, we moved the food to a non broken plate!
Have a great weekend.
you can sign my name to the list too. sheesh.
On the bright side... these jeans have made me determined to live my life without the "muffin top." I have found that Eddie Bauer has a decent fit for jeans.
Yes, yes, yes!
There has be be something between "mom jeans" and these incredibly low risers!!!!!
LOL ")
UUUuuMMMmmmmmhhhh!!! I feel that I must put a disclaimer here....
Nothing printed here is indicitive of the writers beliefs or morals??
I am only making observations from a little different perspective.....
Knowing full well that descretion is the better part of valor......
I am afflicted with this aliment of opening my mouth and inserting both feet.
Now I noticed in the first paragraph a little male bashing. And I tend to believe that Rach agrees with you on that point also cause I get bashed (alot) when those female designers with the tat's flash them when we are at the mall.. And you are right, who is concerned or looking at the jeans when there are great tat's to be observed?????? (OUch sorry DEAR)
And there are plenty in both genders that are (or should be) concerened with a little higher cut. (regardless of the profit margins of manufacturers) the ability to wear them should be a privilegde not a right....There isn't a tat in the world that would make a large guy changing a tire, (smiling at the world) sexy..
As for what the young sales girl said, not even I, can fathom how a strip of dental floss and bandage sized peice of material could be considered comfortable???? what is up with that?
Now the problem of having to buy extra shirt could be solved by going to loggers world, or Madsinsons saw shop, and buying a good old pair of lees snag off pants..(there will be a little added expense of suspenders) But garunteed those puppies will hug your hips and alieviate any unwanted smiles to the world.
thanks for a good laught this morning.....(and I hope this helps)
Ay-yi-yi!
I have suitably issued corporal punishment and rained down several choice threats on my husband's head for that lovely little comment. Or several comments.
I don't even know where to begin...
Yes, he gets whacked upside the head regularly if he gets caught "observing" a tattoo for too long.
But PLEASE, OH PLEASE... do NOT ask him the tow truck driver buttcrack story.
Yes, I agree with you... especially since I seem to have misplaced where my fat and skinny parts of my body should go and that gap is bigger than ever after having a kid. And I am totally with ya on the wrestling match of picking up a 2-year old.
This was too funny - add my name to the list! :)
This is hilarious!
I agree.. I bet it was a man who invented them!
Very funny!! I hope HE was reading...
Amen, fellow mother and disliker of those icky jeans. Is it just me or do my children's jeans also not fit correctly? Glad I found your blog and especially happy to see you are praying for little Stellan, too. I like your blog so much I think I'll follow along for the ride a bit...
Oh I do feel your pain. I do not have a low rise butt, so I cannot wear low rise jeans regardless of the style of underwear. I don't have children and I still don't want to bare my crack to the world. Crack kills you know.......
I concur. Only a man with a twisted, sick sense of humor could have invented these!
Happy SITS day!!
So true! Happy SITS day!
Happy SITS Day!!!
You couldn't be more right!!!
THANK.YOU.
Seriously....thong? Comfortable? Those people are crazy! :)
Happy SITS day! Enjoy all the comment love today!!
Hahaha! Did ya smack that girl? :P
Happy SITS Day to ya!
As a 20something who "should" be wearing these jeans, even I find them ridiculous. I work in a shop as a painter and carpenter, and I hate having to go by "man pants" just so I don't flash the world. In addition, I'm also a bit on the pudgy side. So don't think that your age has anything to do with it! Even the targeted demographic has issues... you tell 'em sista!
Happy SITS day! :)
OMG, this is so funny! Check out my blog. I am giving away a belt that helps with plumber butt from low rise jeans because I hate the exact same thing.

http://www.twitter.com/stacieinatlanta
That is too funny, and so true! Have you tried Levi's Signature or Lee? They're both supposed to keep your modesty intact. ;)
Too funny. I always wear an undershirt, which can be annoying.
I hope someone listens to your pleas!
Happy SITS day :)
Funny and true. The very low rise jeans are only good if you're standing up. They are misery if you're not. I think a mid rise is a good idea.
Do they make "onesies" for adults? If so, I need to get some.
Happy SITS Day!
I LOVE this!!! My hind end is the BIGGEST thing on me...Those jeans just do not work!! I also wear granny panties, so I look pretty ridiculous!!
Happy SITS!! You have a great blog!! So happy you are the feature!!
Not to mention the muffin top. Ug.
Such truth! I feel like I'm pulling and tugging on the pants all day long. They also feel like they are going to fall off.
Can you draw up a petition that we can all sign?! Let's contact our congressmen!!
I agree...these low rise are not flattering to me at all!! Of course, I can't go back to the 80's high waisted jeans either! :)
I hear you on this one.
Please make jeans where my butt crack will not show. Please.
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I am totaly with you on this one. I spend all day hitching up my jeans cause they feel like they are falling down, only to realise that they are up as far as they will go. I bet anything that it was a man who designed them!
FUNNY! I can't stand the "vertical smile" when I bend over either and trust me, the world does NOT need to see that! I too have bought "undershirts" so I don't endanger people's retinas when I bend over to tie a shoe or pick up my keys!
Scared where our fashion sense comes from. Quick run down.
Jail--yes Jail...they take your belt from you (so you can't harm yourself or others) and your pants start to fall down.
In jail is gangs (with pants falling off). Out of jail gangs keep nasty pants to show they toughed it out there. Rap music picks up on droopy drawers. Fashion industry says rap is cool so is droopy drawers.
Youth starts having pants fall off bottoms now. Finally that is not good enough so lets make them new where we can sell more...low rise jeans.
What would we do with out law enforcement to help the fashion industry?????? LOL
Haha. Happy SITS Day! It's funny that you happened to write this, I was just observing that very gap issue with my shirt and jeans this morning - except I live in Florida, where layering this time of year is akin to heatstroke! You totally have to post if you find some decent jeans! Good luck.
Happy SITS day! Dropping by fora good laugh! I have teens that seem to just "fit" into the super low rise thing quite nicely, but I see more mature women everywhere struggling......it's unreal! Keep hunting, and not sure where you're shopping, but there are nice mid rise jeans out there to be had.....good luck!
Absolutley love this post! Happy SITS day.
Great post...
So funny! Happy SITs day!
That was awesome! Low rise jeans always have such a lovely way of accentuating the mommy belly! *sigh*
HA-HA!! That cracks me up, but I agree 100% with you!!
Leave some space at the bottom of your letter as I'd like to add my siggy as well!
Ha! How true this is! I really feel like I should have an apology tattooed on my lower back for every time I flash someone!
Very well said! I hope someone is listening.
I buy very thin long tank tops to wear under my shirts, that I tuck into my low rise, so when I have to bend at the waist, it covers the gap between shirt and jeans.
Congrats on being featured! Enjoy your day!
Cindy
I couldn't agree more! Well said. I have found Candies or LUCKY to have good pairs of jeans that are not low-rise... Good luck!
I totally agree with you! I like some of the aspects of the low-rise, however, I do not appreciate showing my derrier when I bend over or squat to pick up my children!
I'm with you on this!!! Like finding a pair of jeans that fit right isn't hard enough?! Have a great day being the featured blogger on SITS. You deserve it!
Honestly, I've had some of those same thoughts. And can I just add one thing? While low rise may be flattering from the front, I don't think it does anything on the tooshie side. Even the gals with amazing figures look like they have rectangles for rear ends. Or is that just me?
Amen Sister! I whole heartedly agree!
Happy SITS Day!
You are speaking to my heart here! And don't you just want to slap those "helpful" sales girls?
Sign my name to that letter. I hate jeans shopping with a passion. I can never find jeans that aren't made to show the "ever so lovely" back tat.
Maybe this is a silly question, but before you bought your existing jeans, didn't you give them the bend and squat test before you bought them? That would certainly have given you a clue as to whether or not they would have shown your crack or backside! LOL
Can't blame the manufacturers for that mistake!
You are way braver than I.....I wont even put them on!
Hapyp SITS day!!
Good luck with your jean hunt!
So true! And so funny!!! I hate the low-rise and I am always pulling my shirt down. Or my 4-yr-old chants, "Mommy, I see your underwear" over and over. Sigh.
Happy SITS day! Great blog!
Funny! Thanks for making me laugh this morning and letting me know I'm not alone in my butt-crack angst:)
LOVE IT!!!
Congrats on your SITS day...wonderful blog =)
I agree! I have three children too and those jean are a PIA!
Stopping by from SiTS to say hi!
It's the shirts not being long enough that gets me more!
This made me smile!! Thanks- I needed this on a Monday!!
How funny! I am always hanging out of my jeans, and not in a *hot* kind of way!
My husband and I are always joking and we say, "crack kills" when I am bending over for something.
Too funny! But I have to admit that I am a big fan of low rise jeans... Love them! They just need to make more longer shirts. Guess I'm in the minority here, but oh well!
Shanda, I love how at the end of the letter you give them kudos for what they're doing right - whiskering, flared legs - too funny. I totally agree with the low-rise thing. Something I don't think I will ever get used to.
oooh i so agree! there is nothing i dislike more then sitting down to dinner...and seeing some girl's thong staring me in the face because she is wearing low rise jeans...
AMEN!
And let's just outlaw high heels, underwire bras, and bikinis while we're at it.
hehe. This letter was perfect!
I also am not a fan of the popover look I get from the lowrise jeans. No thanks.
This is exactly what I needed this morning thank you sooooo much!!!
That's hilarious - I couldn't agree with you more! :)
Happy SITS Day! :)
I agree. I bought a pair of jeans at Wal-Mart without trying them on. Two weeks later when I went to wear them, I realized I had low rise. I always feel like they are falling down.
I saw you on SITS. Great Blog :)
Amen, SITster! Thank goodness the rise is finally starting to rise!
Happy SITS day!!
Well done!
I hate low rise. They are just uncomfortable.
Once I went to the store and asked for a higher rise jean and they said we don't have low rise. I looked at her and said that these are kind of low. Low rise is not cool!
Oh, I hate thong underwear. I don't like to look like I am picking my you know what:)
Mother of 2 dealing with my own low rise issues. My solution? Long shirts!
Too funny!
Thank you for saying what we're all thinking. Oh the horrors, the injustice of low rise. [shudder]
Enjoy your SITS day.
I just died laughing.
I'm only 25, but I swear I don't need my rear on display. I've been buying Levis. Their low rise isn't nearly as low as most.
Ah the jean hunt. Thorn in my side too because I have no backside whatsover!
Hey, coming over from SITS. Congrats on your SITS day. I enjoyed your blog so much I am a follower. Please come over and say hi to me. I need the comments/followers. Clare.
This is the story of my life!!! I actually bought a new pair of jeans at the Gap a few days ago and as I was looking at a pair of high(er) rise jeans the sales lady said, "Oh hun, you won't like those. They're for old ladies." I was shocked. And they are my FAVORITE jeans. I don't care if I look like an old lady. Who wants to have plumber pants?!?!
So Funny! But so true...I have experienced the same problem. I tend to buy longer shirts now, which means "large" -- which also means they're just too big! I feel your pain...
LOL! I can only imagine wearing those jeans and having to chase a 2yo! Such a shame that there is no happy medium!
So funny! I too have had this problem, thank goodness for "mom stores" like Eddie Bauer, and Lands End! Just wait until you're trying to find mid-rise jeans for a teenager! Impossible.
I heartily agree with your sentiments. I've had some luck at the Gap (they've got a gazillion different styles), Nine West brand, and recently, a trouser style by Daisy Fuentes (no kidding) at Kohls. These are all misses sizes and work for me. My teen daughters are another story (sigh) since they still wear junior sizes and there aren't many options there.
Congrats on being featured over at SITS.
truer words were never spoken!
I could not agree more~
I aviod bending over in public!
Happy SITS day!
You are totally speaking to me - and I not on the tall side :)
I'm perfectly happy with my underwear, it's the jeans that are the problem.
I really hate the low rise jeans, and really who wants only a one inch zipper. What's the point of that? J Jill. They have appropriate and yet fashionable jeans for ladies, not tweens. Good luck!
That is so funny! I love this post! I know what you mean about trying to find a pair of jeans that don't show your backside when you bend over. I have to admit...I have flashed a few people and didn't realize it until my fiancee started cracking up in the aisle of Wal-Mart! And of course my shirt wasn't long enough to cover!
Great post! In the 80s the jeans were very high and now it's gone in the opposite direction!
heheeh that's too funny!! i hate low rise jeans too.
happy SITS day!
where's the picture? i need a picture.
I am totally with you on the horrid-ness of low rise jeans. I hate wearing them because not only are they "flashy" in a bad way, I think they are darn uncomfortable.
I don't like seeing other womens' exposed flesh either-yuck!
LOL~ Hear Hear!
Found you through SITS! Great blog :)
Don't get me started on the thong. I spent over 30 years trying to keep the underwear from creeping into my a$$!
Too funny! And I wholeheartedly agree...I have two young sons and am constantly up and down, possibly exposing those behind me to an unattractive show.
I'm also awaiting the day when my kids ask about those strange stringy looking underwear that they can see peeking out of my younger mom-friends' jeans when they bend down!
I think I just need to give in and invest in a good belt!
LOL..
oh my..i see way to many "moons" because of those silly jeans..
Preach it, sista!
I don't understand why there can't be a happy medium. It seems like the jeans are way too low (and I'm constantly trying to hike them up-- I'm sure that's super sexy), or they're too high the waist line it about even with the bottom of my bra!
Happy SITS day!
lol! i must admit though, that since i have a small waist and bigger hips i like pants not having to fit both places!
Girl... I SO know what you're talking about. I have a bitter fight with my clothing every time I move: low-rise jeans go DOWN, shirts ride UP. What the hell is that all about??
I actually think it's Britney Spears' fault (and apparently, I'm not the only one! http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://z.about.com/f/wiki/e/commons/thumb/8/84/Britney_Spears.jpg/200px-Britney_Spears.jpg&imgrefurl=http://en.allexperts.com/e/0/2000s.htm&usg=__QHaW1l3loS1LwnsdC0sCQZ6-r3k=&h=282&w=200&sz=22&hl=en&start=3&um=1&tbnid=1XWESur4ioYwQM:&tbnh=114&tbnw=81&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbritney%2Bspears%2Blow-rise%2Bjeans%2B2000%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1).
Seriously! Can they not just make some regular jeans already?!
This was an awesome post:)
Congrats on being FB!
AMEN to this!!! Love it! I have the same problem, SO frustrating!!!
Oh I sooo feel your pain on the low rise jeans. And I don't care who you are or how skinny you are... those jeans will give you a "muffin top."
Very funny, but true!
love this! if it was a femal with a cool tattoo, she definitely has never given birth or tried to correct any toddlers. that's for sure! happy sits day!
Very funny. Happy SITS day.
First of all, I must say congrats, because you obviously are actually wearing these jeans. Quite frankly we both know that the alternatives are still out there. The great thing is how you said so eloquently, just a half inch. It is the same half inch that I too could use. I love the concept, but ....
Congrats on being the SITS FB!
Happy SITS day! I can certainly relate to your dilema with the jeans. I've even seen some of the kids around here that really shouldn't be wearing those jeans. It's pretty disgusting.
Yes, I think we all know where you're coming from!
Happy SITS Day! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this letter about low-rise jeans. As a mom of triplets (plus a 6yo & 5yo) I feel your pain! You're too funny. Thanks for the giggles.
Ditto! My husband is always telling me that "crack kills" so I need more modest jeans...thanks for the great post!
So true! Congrats on being the FB today!
Amen, SITSta.
Well said!! What really gets me irked is that I have a 9 year old daughter that winds up sharing her crack with the world on most days, cuz we haven't found the proper combination of clothing to cover it. Please give some rise to at least a few lines of jeans....I hunt the stores and can only find low rise. What 9 year old really needs low rise jeans?? Seriously!?
Great post! You have to wonder what they were thinking when they came up with those. They even make them in my, extremely plus, size which is a n idea too scary for me to even think about. THe idea of my very ample rear being exposed makes me do a full body shudder!
it is hard to find much of anything but low rise anymore!!
Let me tell you, it ain't how they look on you, it's how they look on others...I mean..come on! Standin in line at the zoo, I don't want to see your business hangin out of your low rise jeans!
Tell it SITSA! Low rise jeans don't really work on most women...try as they may. :-/
Congrats on your feature!
I so have to agree with you! Great post. Happy SITS day!!!!
Cute! I don't like giving everyone I know an opportunity to put a quarter in the slot, as it were. Crack kills.
I think these things might finally be on their way out of style. And that woman's comment about the comfort of thong underwear? Lies, lies, lies.
Good jeans are hard to find these days. And i can't believe that girl said that....wow! Good luck!
Love it! And how about when you have a few extra pounds on the middle that adding undershirts just makes you thicker. Yikes.
There's high waisted/granny jeans, low rise or ultra low rise. We need medium rise!!! Women of the world unite!
Oh yes! I sooo agree! Happy SITS day.
HAPPY SITS DAY!!
great post, though I have found since having child. my hips and waist are not the same size and these low rise jeans solve the problem.
hear, hear!
I am probably the minority, but I like the low rise, they make me look like I actually have a butt! LOL!
Thank you for putting in writing what the rest of us moms think every time we put on our jeans!
Happy SITS day!
ROFL!!! You are too funny! I enjoyed your blog
OMG! This totally cracked me up! Love it.
Happy SITS day!!!!
OMG! I am totally cracking up over this because I agree with you 536%!!!! I hate the bum flash those low rise jeans cause.
great post, congrats on being queen sista' of the day!
very true
This is too true. I have teenagers and even they are alway pulling and tugging.
When your appropriate sized jeans give you dunlap like a man, there is definitely something wrong with the pant. Well said post.
Happy SITS day! And this is so true!
I just bought three pairs of those Lee (mid rise no waist gap) jeans. They are great! I have a J-Lo bottom, and they keep even my hefty self contained.
Thanks for the laugh!
The low-rise jeans drive me CRAZY! Even the "mid-rise" jeans aren't very high anymore. I guess I'm stuck with the "high-rise" variety. They call them mom jeans because it's what we have to wear so we don't show crack when we're taking care of our kids!
I'm with you!
I so agree! I can't wear a pair of low rise jeans to save my life. They just don't cut it. So, I search and search for normal waisted jeans that don't make me look like Urkel (sp?)
Happy SITS day. I completely agree with you about the jeans.
I concur. I hate low rise jeans. I mean really, who wants to see plummer's crack?
Oh my I am with you all the way! I can't stand those jeans. I don't like for my rear to hang out at all! The most unflattering thing to me even on the skinniest person! Your blog is awesome and you are so funny!
So funny.
And so very true!
Hey SITSta! I too veto the "muffin top". I wear the highest waisted granny panties with my low rise jeans. That should teach them all a lesson. "Ha! Ha!" to them!
Hahaha! I totally agree. Happy SITS day! You blog rocks. :-)
AHHHH!! AMen girl! this couldn't be more true!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant! I'm with you... I bet it was a man who invented these.
Well said! Congrats on being Saucy!!
Freakin' hilarous girlfriend! My 4 year old has plumber butt no matter what type of jean I put on her, tee hee! Yeah...mom of 3 here that doesn't want 'mom jeans,' hehe...but also doesn't want to show the world my rear. You go girl! And if you find out who invented them, please do tell!
Jamie :-)
Funny! I hear ya! I feel sorry for some of the people behind me. As Hubby says, crack kills!
Congrats on your SITS day.
Fun post. BTW, the thong underwear are not a fix. It just makes a nasty problem even worse.
oh, what truth you speak!
Too funny. Happy SITS Day and thanks for the laughs.
I think you may have gotten through. I've started seeing more high rise pants lately... and I have to say that they do NOT flatter my body type ;) I just need my own personal clothes designer. I'm still waiting for someone to volunteer.
Happy SITS day!
I have some of the exact same issues! Great letter!
Congrats on your SITS day. Love this post -- so so true. My husband saw a funny joke thing on YouTube recently -- about "crack spackle" for men ... with these dang jeans, sometimes I think anyone wearing them might could use it! You nailed the whole thing on the head though! Thanks for the good laugh.
Do they even make regular rise anymore? This reminded me of a commercial spoof SNL did, called "Mom Jeans", advertising the ultra high waisted jeans with the pleated fronts. There's no coming back from that. lol.
I love this post! I write a "Dear..." blog and this is too cute. Love your blog!
EXACTLY! And not only do I hate exposing myself, what really gets to me are all the other bottom tops that I'm forced to witness... and unfortunately, there seem to be a large number of gals out there who(should, but)don't seem to mind exposing themselves.
Amen, SITSta! How many layers do we have to wear so we don't flash unsuspecting strangers?
So true! Trust me, after 4 kids, NOBODY wants to see my crack or my midrift!!!
Love the letter!
Xazmin
Yes!
I hate those darn things! No one wants to see my bottom, and I surely don't want to see anyone else's bits!
I am loving the new trouser style jeans. So classy, and have a full seat!
Nothing like low~rise jeans to show off ample cleavage. :(
I'm torn. I hate the inevitable crackage, however, I find regular rise jeans to be quite uncomfortable. Whats a girl to do?
Oh so true. It is impossible to find jeans that are not showing off too much. So so irritating! When I asked for my favorite 'at waist' jeans at my clothing store I got a snicker and then a "we stopped selling those." My goodness I think the jean makers have forgotten that the universe is not made up of 20 something size 0's. :0) I wear Down East Basic shirts to cover the gap, they really are a life saver.
Stopping by via SITS...and I have found that the onslaught of low-rise jeans has forced me into the dreaded "Mom Jeans" far, FAR sooner than I was ready for them... :(
I found some really nice jeans. High rise. Flare cut. No butt cleavage. (Yay!) Don't make me look short AND fat like the straight/skinny jeans. And they're thirty dollars. I bought 2 pair. Now I've checked their website, and they're no longer listed. Hopefully they are still available in-store. I will be extremely annoyed if they have dropped my jeans. Sigh. At least the short/long sleeved layered shirt look seems to be in.
PS: For those in Canada, the site is http://www.warehouseone.com/index.php. They have low, mid and high rise. I'm going to go pick up some more.
LMAO! I too have children, and wear the low rise jeans, only because I can't seem to find any others that fit me. I hate smiling backwards at people. I too, find shirts to put beneath my shirts to cover the smile.
ahaha too funny, my word verification word is - tonglons. Sounds like a type of undies you could have bought at V.S. lol
that was too funny! i also am rather annoyed by the low rise jeans and panties for my toddler!
Oh, the low rise jeans. They depress me because I cannot wear them and look good-- well, unless a t-shirt covers my butt. I'm only 5 foot so luckily long shirts are easy for me:)
Well said. Well said.
Those damn low-rise jeans are only for people with NO muffin top and people whose hips are wider than their waists. I'd say, 80% of the rest of the world does not qualify! I'm stuck, tho, because I'm also not ready to buy the elastic-waist mom jeans.
And, have you seen the zipper on those jeans? What's the point? It's like 3 inches long!
Great post!! I have to say.. I agree with you on this one. I think they look stupid on most people too. I can not wait until this fad goes out of style! I am all for Mom jeans coming back in style!!
