My first guest Post. WOW!!!!!!

As I sat and thought about what I should write this post over, I thought I wanted it to be meaningful, and special no less. Notice all the I’s in there? God pointed this out to me and said “ write what has been on your heart.”

He speaks to me often, He speaks to you to if you train your self to listen, slow down to listen, get in the Word and listen. That’s is just what I did.

Many of you have read my blog and know my grandmother has been ill. To the point of me taking over her finances, to taking away her car. Rough roads. I have been turning to God first instead of to myself to help and fix things. As I have focused on God I have had some amazing things happen.

Grandma is better, she has accepted the changes VERY well, and the family is coming together for the first time in my life to be supportive and help. We also have had home health worker issues, and I won’t bore you but it could have turned out badly and it went smoothly. HALLELUJAH.

My question is , Do we trust God to take care of us? I am trusting more and more everyday. I have learned to lean on Him and to LET Him do His will for me.

John 14:1 “Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God, Trust also in me.”

Trusting in our Lord is the best blessing He has ever given me. I hope in your life you can trust in the Lord as well.

This is beautiful, Belinda! It spoke to my heart, too! I've been stuck in a "woe is me" miry pit, and God's really spoken to me in the last day or so to focus on Him. Trust Him. Rely on Him. He will provide.

"'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus... just to take Him at His Word..." It seems like that is one lesson that keeps coming back to me over and over. I'm learning, too, Belinda. Gld to hear about your grandmother.

Great guest post!

I have been in a season of struggle, just coming out of it actually. It is amazing how much we grow when we just trust and have faith that God WILL be who he says he is. Every time. Without fail.

My friend paige at "paigylin.blogspot.com" also wrote about this yesterday on her blog...she said "We can expend so much energy whining about our situation that we have nothing left to invest in the real fight." If we just trust. I am wanting to trust God today (even in the small details of my life- Psalm 37) so that I can rest in the shadow of the Almighty! Thanks Belinda!

Well done, Belinda! It's a good question to begin each day (or hour) with, no?

Sorry to hear about your grandma's failing health. She's blessed to have you in her life. My own "Grum" has suddenly become "old", and it's very hard that we don't live in the same state, for I would dote on her if I could. I guess I'll have to trust Him that her needs are met by my uncles or others He has set for that purpose.

Great post! Sometimes that's all we can do. Everything else is just futile.

thank you for this word from God. my husband died a little over a month ago - we were so blessed to have a wonderful Hospice in our lives. The last two days of my husbands life were so filled with God's love. He just filled up our house with it. Even though my husband was in a coma he and i had a wonderful time together, reliving our 29 years together. God flooded our hearts with love. Even though my husband wasn't able to talk to me - or even actknowledge that i was there i KNOW that he knew we were around him. As he knew that God was with him during this transition time. I thank the hospice for the encouragement that they gave us also. I pray that i was a role model for my sons and their wives during this time. So - your post really hit home with me. Even though my husband isn't alive anymore, he is with God. and for that i'm so thankful to Him. It IS so sweet to trust in Him.
sorry this got so long.

Shanda - I'm mentioning your one year anniversary and the book on Family Fountain. Thanks again. My daughter is using "Crazy Love" for her middle and high school girls class at church.

One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6... 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
And the two things that trip me up about that verse? First of all, it says in ALL your ways acknowledge Him... and I know that I don't do it completely. Second, it doesn't say that He will make my path EASY, and so many times, that's what I want. It says He'll make it straight... but sometimes, straight can be hard. It can be straight UP, or straight DOWN, or straight THROUGH the tough stuff. But ... He'll be there, every step of the way, and it will be HIS path. Loved this post.. thanks for blessing us!
