Also, as for the song on my blog "supermassive black hole" it was just a coincidence. Now, I'm slowly trying to rebuild what was lost. One day, I'm gonna be so tech savvy that I won't lose things to deep space anymore, until then, I'm getting in some good practice.Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12752658464447522549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8436491287902349873.post-56239820132109123622009-06-09T12:02:46.833-04:002009-06-09T12:02:46.833-04:00Pride is one of those insidious sins which, unfort...Pride is one of those insidious sins which, unfortunately, I find evidence of in my life in places I never thought were available to it.

Gross.

But God.

Lurve the poem.Gretchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02576409086020993015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8436491287902349873.post-92204298836675666612009-06-09T10:07:12.432-04:002009-06-09T10:07:12.432-04:00Good blog. We just got done with chapter 6 when the King called Haman and asked him how someone could be honored. Haman thinking it was him gave a clear description how it should be done. In final moments of reading, I enjoy God's Word, but last night, I took in Beth Moore's "take" on:
JOHN
(90 Days With The Beloved Disciple).
Her writings always make me think.

I closed the book when I awoke, and put it on the stand to meet Beth again tonight.

My brother is a free spirit. Too free. He drove a motorcycle without a helmet. Cars ahead were stopped at a light at 2 AM, and he knew he would crash the last in line. He leaned left and skidded, leaving his brain on Highway 41 in Florida.
A cop nearby, waiting for night time people to run the light saw it all, and immediately began rescue.
He saved his life, albeit my brother lives with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and disabled for good. His wife led me to a web www.tbihome.org that she visits for coping as caretaker.
I perused the site, read caretaker, survivor, discussion, humor, and working.

In Working category, a recovering TBI person had difficulty getting a job. She could not remember the process, we all take for granted.

So I posted what a Resume is - what you have done in the past. And, I posted what a Cover Letter is - what you bring to the table for a company for a particular job. And though there is discrimination for work as TBI, few companies can resist the quality they bring to the table, perseverence.
(She got a job!).

As I read Beth Moore out of bed this morning in your blog post, I looked at that list on Pride and knew there is not one of us left to say "Not Guilty". All of us are there on the list.

Our lives tell our Resume - what we did in any time period.
But as I read the list by Beth, I began to ponder:
"What if we needed a Cover Letter to get into heaven?"

"What do we bring to the table, what skill set would get us in?"

"My Name Is Pride" looked like a Cover Letter for all of us to get the job of Heavenly Resident. Pride is a widely honed skill set for all of us.

Just print that list and hand it to God (I don't have His email address handy, but his Prayer Express line is always open, cheap to use, and fast as you can think).

And God will review this list and answer:
"YES, this is what we are looking for! Sinners.
Do you have a reference?"

And we reply:
"His name is Christ. He's my reference".
It seals the deal every time.

I will get a cup of coffee as my printer spits out a few dozen copies of the Pride stanza you supplied from Beth.
Some, I will hand out. Most, I will pin all over the house to remind me as I move from room to room that Pride makes me..... tbi.Keystonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02465358638077475521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8436491287902349873.post-41215528739294621852009-06-09T08:40:01.047-04:002009-06-09T08:40:01.047-04:00Ahhh...the "P" word.
